Background and Identification
Milwaukee electric tool is a company based in America that focuses on the development and manufacturing of various power tools. After debuting their first tool in 1918, a 1/4” drill, the company was officially founded in 1924 by A. F. Siebert in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. By the 1930’s, Milwaukee began producing all of their tooling at the high standard of the U.S. Navy. Since then, the company has changed ownership several times but is now owned by Techtronic Industries, a power tool conglomerate.
Milwaukee’s M18 series is particularly common and widely sold in many retail stores, a favorite for those who rely on their tools regularly. This M18 battery is compatible with all Milwaukee M18 power tools and can be recharged on most Milwaukee plug-in charging units. To identify your M18 battery, simply look at the sticker on the bottom side of your battery and find the model number in the bottom right corner; it should read (CAT.No. 48-11-1828). If this matches what you find on your device, then you’ve found the right page; otherwise, please continue browsing until you find the corresponding model number.
