Background and Identification
Originally released in 2013, the JBL Pulse (Model number: JBLPULSEBLKAM) is a portable, black, cylindrical, Bluetooth-enabled speaker with a 4000 mAh battery. Special to this speaker is its unique light array that "pulses" in rhythm with your music. The JBL Pulse has a battery life of up to 10 hours (5 hours with lightshow). It has a USB port as well as an auxiliary port on its side. Its speaker is 2x40 mm and has an output power of 2x6 W.
While the battery life and sound quality did not separate this device from its competitors, the LED lightshow was the innovative feature of the Pulse.
