Does your JBL Flip 4 speaker make crackling noises while it is playing music? JBL Flip 4 speakers are susceptible to a range of problems that could cause crackling, static, or distorted sound. Check the following causes to identify and solve the problem.
Device is Not in Range
If you are hearing crackling, static, or distorted sounds from your speaker, the connected device may be too far away from the speaker. The JBL Flip 4’s effective range is approximately 30 feet. Walls or similar obstacles may reduce this range. Place the connected device closer to the speaker to see if reducing the range improves the speaker’s sound quality.
Damaged Speaker Driver
If the distorted or crackling sounds happen only at certain audio pitches or volumes, the speaker’s audio drivers could be damaged. Use the JBL Flip 4 Front Active Speaker Replacement Guide to replace individual speakers.
Faulty Electrical Connections
If the previous solution did not work, poor electrical connections inside the speaker may be causing the issue. Unfortunately, these poor electrical connections, ranging from failing solder joints to loose plugs, can be incredibly hard to find. Additionally, accessing the main circuit board requires the destruction of parts of the speaker which will significantly decrease or impair the performance of the device.

1 Commento
Every few months, I get again cracking pop static noises in my JBL Link 300 and JBL Link 20.
The only (simple) resolution is to fully reset it. But with a specific way !!!
JBL 300: If you long press the mute buton, it won't be solved. And pPressing the reset button at the back does nothing. You have to hold down bluetooth and volume+ button together for more than 10 sec. Then reconfigure the JBL with Google Home, and voilà !
for JBL 20, Hold down mute button for about 7 seconds until wifi light turns off. Then hold down both mute and power button for about 20 seconds.
