Is it possible to upgrade the memory capacity and use more than 16 Go?

I am very interested in doing this. We now have root...so how can we increase memory capacity?
I am aware that the memory chip is the Kingston KE44B-26BN/8GB
What about replacing it with the Kingston KE4BT5D6A?
Is this even possible?
The only issue I see is that the package size on the 8GB & 16GB is 12 x 16 x 1.2 while the package size on the 32GB is 14 x 18 x 1.4
This probably means 16GB is our max huh?
