MacBook wont turn on after other strange symptoms..

So I spilt tea on my macbook a while back.. :'( It ran perfectly for 6 months - I just had to have an external keyboard because the shift key shorted out and it was constantly stuck in safety mode. Ugh.

I finally took it in to get the top case replaced thinking that would be the end of my macbook water damage woes.

Nope.

Got it back and all the sudden the battery indicator light didn't work and the charger wouldn't charge the battery. (dim green light showed to indicate it was connected but wasn't charging.)

Frustrating but not the end of the world, because I just kept it plugged in. Googled "macbook pro battery not charging" and tried basically everything under the sun that was suggested.

Sorry I don't remember what exactly.. it was a while ago...

Anyways. I used it like this for about a week.. maybe two. Then one day I accidentally knocked the charger from it and of course it shut off immediately without the power source.

And then the weird part.

It never turned on again. Ever. Poof. Dead.

I took it into the shop that replaced the top case and was met with "Uuuuhhh well water damage blah blah blah" (thanks, genius.) I managed to get a few sensible tips from him "could be the logic board or DC in board."

What do you guys think? Does this sound like a logic board thing or DC in board... ?

You might try and replace the DC-In board. I had a MacBook come to me and the owner thought it was dead. The symptoms were it wouldn't charge and nothing happened when the power button was pressed. Since it was a MacBook I was able to pop in another charged battery and it turned on perfectly. All I needed to do then was replace the Mag-Safe Board (DC-In). You can find the board here on iFixit:

MacBook Pro Unibody 13" and 15" MagSafe DC-In Board

and the installation guide here:

MacBook Pro 13" Unibody Early 2011 MagSafe DC-In Board Replacement

You can also follow this guide to get to the part where you take the MagSafe out and you can visually check to see if there is corrosion on the part. If there is corrosion on the MagSafe board then you can take some 91%+ Isopropyl Alcohol and stick the board in letting it gently soak for about a minute while moving it around and then take a soft brush and VERY gently scrub the board. Then let it sit out to dry for 5 hours in a warm place before installing it. This method has fixed many water damaged iPhones and parts of MacBooks for me.

Hope this Helps
