@felixkimanzi have you checked the monitor on a different system to rule it out as the culprit? If so, we will need to know what you have already checked. This could be the graphics card (if external) or the graphics card driver. Of course, you do want to make sure you have the proper driver installed. If you are using the integrated display, try an external graphics card and see what that show you.
