Why my touch screen is not working properly

Please elaborate on the problem. What exactly do you mean when you say it's not working properly? Are there dead spots on the screen? Does it not react at all? Are you getting ghost touches?

I'm afraid at this point you haven't given us enough information to make an informed guess as to what might be wrong. Have you tried resetting the phone?
