I think you should consider reinstalling your drivers. Here are the steps you can follow-
For Camera:
- In Device Manager - Go to Camera - right-click your camera - Uninstall device.
- Restart your PC -Windows will reinstall automatically.
For Microphone (Realtek or Intel audio):
- Expand Sound, video and game controllers.
- Right-click - Uninstall device.
- Restart- Windows reinstalls it automatically.

On E6520, a faulty internal cable for the camera/mic is common after years of use. If drivers and BIOS are fine but devices don’t work, it may need internal inspection.
