What parts of an iCloud locked iPhone can I use?

Thanks to the Repair Assistant, available with iOS 18, most of the formerly unusable parts are now useful again. That assumes the original phone wasn't reported lost or stolen, though; if it is, you won't be able to reuse the paired parts. According to an internal Apple worksheet, the following parts are all paired on an iPhone 15 Pro.

• Battery
• Display
• Camera
• Back Glass
• iPhone Rear or Mid System

Prior to iOS 18, you would encounter reduced or disabled functionality and/or warning messages when replacing any of those parts, but after that release, you can pair them with your motherboard using the Repair Assistant.

That being said, it is still not possible to pair the Face ID components. The front sensor assembly, which includes the selfie camera, can only be paired by Apple for security reasons.
