Why is my camera not found

I have drive it to see if it will wotk but no it's not, i have checked privacy settings it is toggled on there, i have checked BIOS if it is disabled but no it's not, infact the camera is not in BIOS at all. took it to a technician, he said the camera can't work again. Please what can i do. my laptop is HP Elitebook 840 G5
