tried various troubleshooting, like rebooting and resetting it didn't work. replaced it with a new screen, still didn't work. i haven't replaced the flex cables and charging board, maybe that's the problem?

My immediate first thought would be to try replacing the digitizer, since that's the part that is responsible for converting touch input into data that the phone can use.
