Why does the screen freeze on 1/2 of the screen?

@diana71751 sounds like you are having an issue with the display. It is possible that this is a bad connector or worst case scenario issues on the motherboard. For now, I would start with a new display.

Since iFixit does not yet have a specific guide for this, use something like this video to replace the screen. Screen assemblies are still available at many online places.

While you work on your tablet, take lots of pictures. Once you are done with it, take those pictures and create a guide for iFixit.
