Why does the camera no longer lock in the memory card?
Camera is a Cannon PowerShot SX620 HS and the memory card will no longer lock into place even after repeated tries.

It is possible either the camera or the card is broken. Check fit with another card. If it's the camera, you need a professional repair, or maybe you should replace it.
