How do I fix my screen? It's green!

I turned on my Wii and it was working like normal, then I went to USBLoaderGX and turned-on Super Mario Galaxy 2 (It's not working for other games either). It started to load and then there was a blank green screen. The Wii was frozen. I had to unplug the power just to turn it back on and if I tried to play the game again, it would do the same thing. Btw I don't think this is a contributing factor, but the Wii won't read discs. I'm not using a disc to play Super Mario Galaxy 2. One more thing, the model is RVL - 001. How do I fix it?

Hi Kenku!

I'm afraid that this is more likely a software issue then a hardware issue.

I can't help you with unofficial Nintendo modifications, but I would do a factory reset and make sure that the Wii is up to date again (4.3U/E/J) and start all over again.

You could try to fix the Wii drive and see if original games are working fine or not (my guess is, that this will work).

Thank you I will try it and tell you if it worked!

Btw if that doesn't work is there something I could replace that might fix it?

My pleasure :)! You could try to fix the drive (a lot of times the laser fails and they are cheap, and easy to replace). Regarding the software, the worst case scenario is a (semi) brick or faulty NAND (flash memory). It's directly soldered on the motherboard and is VERY difficult to get it replaced.

It didn't work. I'll try to use the NAND backup because if it were a brick, it would probably fix it.

Alright, I think the only option is to restore it yes.
