Reoccuring Panic Full Crash - Resolves a bit when Pressure on Screen

I've had a screen replacement done recently after a semi full can fell on my iPad screen (on the area above the charging port)/

Information regarding the issue:
- If left alone, it will flash a purple screen (sometimes, not always), crash, then reboot and indicate that it has 0% battery left when it is not empty.

- It will restart around every 3 minutes.
- When pressure is applied on the screen area above the charging port, the battery indicator returns to normal and the crashing halts.

- When pressure has been applied on that area of the screen for a while, it will stay alive for much longer than 3 minutes (it lasted an hour last night).

I do intend on taking it to the repair shop ASAP but could anyone potentially tell me what the problem is?

Unfortunately Apple keeps their system error information secret, so it's often difficult to figure out what's going on with some of the kernel panics. We've documented all of them that we're aware of, but unfortunately we don't have any data on the error you're seeing.

With the SMC BSC failure errors, we look at the sensor array information for the error code. In your case the code is 0x2000, but the problem is we don't know what it means since Apple won't tell anyone what their codes are. You can look at our wiki page that has what we do know but it doesn't help with your iPad.

iPhone Kernel Panics - iFixit

Up till now we haven't even seen your 0x2000 error, but even if we had it might not help because apparently Apple has started using different error codes for the same error on different devices which just complicates matters.

Sorry to say an internet search didn't turn up any useful information either. Here's the closest I came; it appears they are having the same error, but the conclusion that it's supposedly a motherboard issue isn't much help in fixing it.

Alisha (@flannelist), have you seen anything on this issue?

By the way, if you do end up taking it to a repair shop, be sure and let us know what their diagnosis turns out to be; then we can add that information to our wiki page.

I really appreciate that you took the time to reply anyways. I did see the reddit thread before but I feel because applying pressure onto the area of the screen above the charging port does temporarily resolve the issue (and the area of impact was there too), I feel it have something to do with a part near the charging port. My very uneducated theory given the temporary solution is that there is a sensor/wire that's slightly disconnected/broken that gets reattached/connected when I press the screen. Well, I hope it's a minor issue like this anyways haha.

I'll be sure to update with any diagnosis I receive from the repair shop.

Edit: I've had semi-light pressure applied on that area of the screen for an extended period today and I've been able to use it for hours without problem.

@needhelp817 @dadibrokeit I haven’t seen any compendium of errors for iPads specifically, but being that it’s similar to the Panic Assertion failed errors on iPhone it’s probably one of the usual cast of characters. Charge port assembly, power button, or front facing sensor assemblies, those sorts of things. I will have to see if I can find any iPad specifics in my usual spots.
