ASUS MG248QR has something stuck inside it

Hello there,

A few day ago I started noticing a 3 very small particles of dust or bugs that died and got stuck in-between the cover and the backlight. (I think so)

Given that I live in the countryside I would believe it's normal, so I tried using some tips I found: Using an Eletric toothbrush around it, using suction cups, but I didn't get lucky.

So I tried opening it with the tools I have available, I couldn't find an exact disassembly tutorial, but some monitor I found out were similar so I tried it, but unlike the other monitor mine doesn't budge open that easily.

I started applying too much for that felt unnecessary and left a small scratch on the plastic support.

I would love to know how I could clean it, the monitor isn't in warranty, even if it was ASUS doesn't even cover it.

Do you people know a guide I could use that would help me?

The best regards,

João Mateus.

@joaomateus if you can get at least 1 corner separated then it might be easier for the rest, its trying to figure out where the clips are is the problem, if you can get a gap between the bezel and the back cover try inserting a plastic card like a bank card etc to stop it from closing again and then keep moving along the case with the pry tool

I managed to remove the entire top part and it was kind of sliding off that side but I couldn't manage to find a gap to one of the corners.

I need to get hold of pry tools, I don't have any, but I would like to be a little bit more certain of what I'm doing, because it's my only monitor.

Hello,

Sorry for bothering you again, do you recommend any prying tools for my situation, that has already been used with similar asus monitors?

Best regards!
