Help, usb not working

Trying to re download system software to PlayStation 4. I have my usb with the file in the usb that’s working fine, but I need a controller constantly plugged into ps4 to do it and when I plug it into the other usb port instead of slowly blinking yellow and then connecting it just blinks yellow a lot faster and doesn’t connect so now I can’t fix the PlayStation
