No Camera image but have green LED

I have a MacBook retina 12” 2017. It’s my daughter’s laptop. The camera has stopped working but I have the green LED indicator when trying to use FaceTime/Photobooth.

I have been looking to see if there is a repair guide here..there doesn’t seem to be one. can anyone offer any insight?

I used to have an issue similar in to this on my MacBook Pro 2015. Is the camera light flashing or is is solid?

Does the light turn on as soon as you booted the Mac, or when you open up some thing using the camera?
