Hi i have a Samsung tv (LE40N87BD) and a family member gave it to me. there has been a small line with dots at the bottom of the screen at the start it didn't bother us but now the dots have grown bigger and is covering the text.is there anything I can do to fix it or stop it from getting bigger.
If you know please answer.

@vagelis48076 that is a failing LCD panel. Most likely the LED's are leaking. You can't repair this but will need to find a new LED panel. Tour panel is most likely a BN07-00409A. Those are not easy to find, and they are not inexpensive. A lot of times a new panel cost more than a new TV. Of course, double check the number. Remove the back cover from your TV. On the back sheetmetal of the LCD there will be a label that tells you who made it and the model number. Use those numbers to do an online search and maybe you can find a good used panel. Or you could try and find an identical TV that is broken other than the LCD and harvest the screen from that.
