Why is my phone touch not working after entering inside water

If touch isn’t working after your phone came in contact with with water, any electronic components the water contacted could have become damaged. It’s possible in this case that water damaged the touch mechanisms within the display assembly, or touch components on the board.

More than likely you’re going to need a new screen. And possibly more, it depends on the extend of the damage. But at this point, the best thing to do would be get the phone open and assess what your internals look like and where liquid may have gone. It If you’re lucky, it’s just a screen. In my experience these XRs are pretty hardy.
