I have a MacBook pro-2019, 32gb i9, the board is dead, the board is dead and I bought it for the same price the replacement boards are selling for smh. can I swap it out for a '2018 a1990 32GB i9' or a '2019 a1990 16GB ? seeing that these are cheaper?

Maybe! There are two versions of the logic boards which limits your options. Review MacBook Pro’s listing. Your options are limited to the same as an example MacBookPro15,
Make sure you get the power/TouchID button withe the logic board as the wrong one won’t allow the load to work as they are married to each other.
