Replacement display touchscreen not working in one area

After replacing the display everything works fine except the touchscreen on the 0 number area where you enter the passcode.

Old screen works fine except for the cracks.

Now while repairing i didnt do anything wrong or had any problems whatsoever.

My concern is if i could pissibly damage it while removing the blue sticker/protection on the backside of the display?

Since i need to return the display im scared they will mark it as user/installation error

anyway, it doesn't necessarily mean damage. You may have misplaced the touch function connector. Take the screen out of the housing again, unscrew the insulators, disconnect the battery, then the screen straps (x2+x1). Check if something has fallen into the port, which sometimes happens. Insert both screen tapes, battery and check operation. If it's good, disconnect the battery again, plug in the FaceTime sensor strip, plug in the battery, tighten the insulators, insert and latch the screen, tighten the screen screws. The End. However, if the test fails, the screen may have been damaged prior to installation or was damaged during installation. Removing the protective film from the inside of the screen could not damage it - it is a transport and protective film for the time of factory tests against mechanical damage. If you damaged the screen, then look for the touch function connector or tape continuity in the area. Otherwise, if it hasn't been broken, it's unlikely to be damaged.

Hi, thank you for your answer. I did try connecting it again and checked the cables. Cables look perfectly fine

I have returned the original screen and touchscreen works, so the port is working.

I will try to get a replacement
