After disassembly repad and paste the power button is unresponsive but eject isn't. The system turns on still just with the controller instead. I can't seem to boot into safe mode without it. If there are any workarounds please let me know thank you!

If it powers on with the controller, then you probably just forgot to plug the power button board's ribbon back into the motherboard.
