So looking through the breakdowns of this counsel why not take out disc drive
And use the power and data cable for a hard drive

@vikingrmcnugget why would you. It use at 1TB SSD and some games still come on optical disks. Would be hard to play those without the optical drive :-)

@vikingrmcnugget but why lose the optical drive? Just replace the SSD with a larger SSD might be a better option. Sostituzione SSD Xbox Serie X
