Anti-Clamp question for glued phones...
Is it required to suply heat to the screen if using Anti-Clamp?
Would be nice to get rid of one equipment on the desk ;)

@d313373_m3, I haven’t bought and tested the Anti-Clamp year, so I can’t speak from personal experience, but when opening up glued phones, it is ALWAYS highly recommended heating it up first! This weakens / softens the glue, and reduces the chances of accidental damage many times over.
I use my heating pad at around 74 degrees centigrade and leave it for a couple of minutes before attempting to open it in any way.
I agree that having one less item on the bench is always helpful, I weigh that against the rate of failure if the tool isn’t used. Any increased failure rate, and I don’t get rid of the tool.

Then it will be a heater of some kind ;)
Thanks
Haven't a clue what anti clamp is and I've been repairing phones for years lol, BUT, always use heat, and alcohol if it's stubborn to get off.
Edit, just seen anti clamp. Would never use one. Stick with heat.
