After updating my OS to 12, I have noticed a couple of pink straight lines on my display. I have tried to restart and search for a solution but nothing worked. Now, Oneplus is saying they will repair only phones which are purchased 2 years back.

Am glad that my query has helped you in getting a replacement. I have heard that the exclusive service center will take up the display replacement work whereas the authorised service center won't because they will have a delay in getting paid for the service from OnePlus it seems. I went to my nearest exclusive OnePlus service center and they have taken my phone without any complaints and have replaced my display the same day. The one thing they look for is if there are any dents or cracks on the phone. Hope this will help anyone who is facing the same issue.

Usually when you see lines on a display that tends to mean that the display is internally damaged or physically cracked
If it’s only happened after a software update it could be worth fully wiping the phone and seeing if that resolves the issue

I have done the factory reset and checked but it did not work out.
I would recommend talking to the manufacturer of the device :-)

You may need to replace the display. iFixit has a screen for the 8T, but it's out of stock.
