How to remove passcode from a jailbreak iPod?

How can I remove the passcode from a ipod which has jailbreak?

Itunes fails to restore it. Any hints?

what happens in itunes? Have you tried DFU restore yet?

It just kept "waiting for iPod" and returned a error in the end. After some attempts it did restore but in the end prompts to restore again so I guess it's now on a restore loop.

I've installed tinyumbrella to try fix this but the software doesn't seem to pick it up.

Meanwhile I'll keep trying to restore it in iTunes, perhaps I can get a lucky shot and restore it but any hints would be very appreciated.
