Ok, so sadly you have to cut it open to replace the batteries, I recommend going along the side of the stomach where it attaches to the fur with a seam ripper, then re-sewing it later with brown fur, maybe attaching a zipper or velcro.
These toys aren't made to replace there batteries, So I recommended installing a small zipper onto the plushie or velcro, that way you can replace its batteries again in the near future without cutting it up again. Here is a link to buy a zipper: https://zipperstop.com/products/ykk-5-mo...

The batteries are usually 357 button cell batteries, most of the time these toys take 3 and is in a black box that connects to a speaker and circuit board. Sometimes the batteries will explode and corrode in the toy, even if new, that's why I recommend installing a zipper on the side of plush to check batteries from time to time. You should clean corrosion with rubbing alcohol and a q-tip.
I don't know if yours is just a plush or is one that moves its mouth/eyes, if it moves its mouth/eyes it is more complicated and probably takes 3 AA. I do not see any eyelids or mechanism in the face, but Here is a commercial of the one that moves its mouth/eyes: https://youtu.be/ZrpxqNLArTc
I hope this helps!
