Black screen of death?

Help me! I was waiting for the ceremony in acnl, and wasn’t paying attention. I eventually looked over and just thought the battery ran out. I charged it for a while, and it would not turn on. It’s stuck on a black screen with just the blue light at the bottom. Held power button, and blue light went away. Stayed the same, not turning on. It wasn’t water, it just suddenly went black when I wasn’t looking.
