What is the gold disk under the roller and how do I clean it?

I figure it's the deep clean sensor, but I am unsure how to clean it. It got really dirty after the roomba tried to clean a furball.

The golden circle in the brush roller compartment is a piezo electric debris sensor. Use cotton swab and very lightly rub after you get it cleaned up of loose debris after that with some isopropyl alcohol and very lightly rub. Try not to use too much pressure it can cause the disk to move around and possibly break the solder joints on the back.
