I bought two of these hori split pad pro controllers. I mainly use them to play smash bros ultimate. Both of them the zr trigger button got pretty mushy after 5 months and will not register an input when I press it. Is there any way to fix just that button?

In the Right controller disassembly guide, Step 6: Front Half - ZR & R buttons - pictures 2 & 3, you can see the ZR button circled in orange. The ZR button pushes on a little clear rubbery button that touches contacts on the board. You can try to clean those contacts and the underside/inside of that clear rubbery part (see the picture below with the rubber piece circled in red).
Unfortunately, Super Smash Bros is one of those games that is designed to wear out controllers really fast. Hope that you are able to do something to repair your controllers.
