Why is my Nintendo 2DS XL not charging?

I haven't used the console ever since January. I decided to have fun by playing old games during quarantine but suddenly once I charged it, it would only show the orange light for a minute, and then it shut off. I tried to clean the charging port and still it is not working! Plus, the console was in perfect condition with no damages at all. If anyone knows the answer, please tell me!
