Why is the loudspeaker not working on my LG K31 Rebel, but calls work?
This issue started within about an hour of its last noise.
The sound was working just fine, I was getting notifications and was able to hear videos on YouTube.
But now any time a sound is supposed to be played (ringtone/music/video sound) it starts off with a loud pop noise and continues with a staticky noise which does not change even when the volume is turned up or down.
I’ve tried everything that I could find online about what the issue may be.
Cleaning the headphone jack.
Factory reset
I have no idea if the speaker is broken
I’ve had this phone since the middle of July and hasn’t had a problem until now.
My mother was able to fix it momentarily with fiddling with the hearing settings but then it quickly died about a minute later.
Does anybody know how to fix this? I’d be very grateful if I could figure out what is going on with it.

@makmodeus just to clarify. The speaker works when you are using your phone as a phone?

Correct, I can hear the noise from the speaker on the top of the phone, like when it’s placed against your ear.

@makmodeus that means your speaker is functioning. This appears to be a settings issues.

What sort of settings issue would it be? I’ve gone through all the sounds settings and tested but nothing worked.@oldturkey03
