My iPhone se 1st gens microphone not working?

So my any headphones microphone is not working with my iPhone se 1st gen.I have tried everything like cleaning or upgrading software but it doesn’t wanna work for some reason.Only thing I haven’t tried is resetting as I have a lot of important stuff that can’t be backed up
