LED LIGHTS display and radio dead..

I just got home from work and my Wave radio was displaying “3:”. I tried to turn it on and got nothing. I unplugged it then back in again and everything on the screen is lit up. No buttons work at all. Any ideas what's going on..

I checked backup 9 volt battery and it felt potent on my tongue !!
