Why is my screen not going all the way in, after replacement?

Hey. I have an iPhone 6s Plus, and recently repaired the screen with an iFixit kit. It worked and I’m thankful, but the screen won’t fully go back into the iPhone. The bottom part sticks out. Is there any way to fix this? Thanks.

Make sure that you’ve removed all of the original adhesive from the frame of the device before putting the new screen in.

See if the screen will fit into the frame without any adhesive or waterproofing and look for any part of the screen that isn’t resting right. If there is no debris or adhesive blocking the way, it should stay down once you’ve added a little bit of adhesive and screwed in the pentalobe screws at the bottom. If the old screen can sit in there just fine, any other screen should fit fine provided it’s measurements are correct…

If the new screen still won’t fit into the frame, make sure it’s a genuine replacement using decent quality components. Some lesser-quality aftermarket parts are sometimes just not the right size and will act like this even with endless amounts of adhesive underneath.
