I’m planning to replace my front camera flex cable, because the earpiece speaker contacts are broken. I heard that True Tone would stop working after replacing the front camera. (Source: Reddit)

No, there is no way you can alter the cameras S/N to match what your phone is expecting without the needed tools.
Apple offers the needed tool via their support network which will allow you to program the phones camera TrueTone setting. This is where you’ll need to bring your phone into an authorized Apple servicer or Apple Store to fix this as the tool is not publicly available even to independent shops!
But! There is another way! This is not something a DYI person would get as its an expensive tool. Some iPhone shops likely have it! Rewa sells a special programer for repair shops. So far they don’t offer the needed interface for the newer iPhone 8, 11 or 12 series.
