Black screens on my 2DS XL?

I was playing New Leaf on my 2DS XL and all of the sudden went black. I turned it off and on again and it was ok. Then I went back into my game then it turned black again. I repeated the process, until my 2DS literally just doesnt display anything- just a black screen with the blue power light

I tried soft resetting it and it didnt work (R+L+A+UP)

if it helps, it was near some deodorant mist…. This 2DS has played up before with audio because of humidity in the air, and has fixed itself in a few days

I want to leave it alone for a few days and see how it goes, meanwhile taking suggestions from here
