Why is my laptop beeping nonstop?

I thought that the beeping was because of the ram but I replaced it and it still kept beeping.

DID YOU INSTALL PC3L (DDR3L) RAM? Haswell and Broadwell both require 1.35V RAM and cannot officially accept 1.5V RAM, as it can damage the memory controller (integrated into the CPU). Dell specifically blocks DDR3L machines from continuing POST VERY EARLY if 1.5V RAM is installed for this exact reason. In addition to that, some of the "DDR3L only" Dell motherboards are picky about mixed RAM and only like it one way, or not at all with that mixed pair.

If you purchased the wrong type (PC3=1.5V/PC3L=1.35V), then the motherboard is shutting down as a protection measure - this happens before anything else for a reason. If it is PC3L, there may be a board or CMOS RAM issue. Pull the CMOS battery and see if it works; if not, try another set of RAM. If neither of those fix it, bad board. Refer to this page for more information.

@mayoonmyrice Yeah I own a few of these DDR3L Dell laptops so I know when I see it. If someone came to me with one I'd check the RAM to make sure, since they require it to successfully POST. I'd prefer to get the RAM package with the notebook as well.

A lot of people made the same mistake when these DDR3L Dell machines were new too. Thankfully standard 1.5V DDR3 is being phased out for mainstream purchase since DDR3L is 1.5V compatible. Give it enough time and you'll actively need to search PC3 to find it, and PC3L (DDR3L) will be the most common.

You also have to bear in mind the risk with mixed module RAM installation not working is higher on first generation platforms like DDR3L with Haswell, so it's usually safer to not even allow it - or require it play nice in the early stages of POST. Usually I will try (and it normally works), but I'm not as willing to mix and match RAM with Haswell as I would be with Broadwell.
