I have an LFXS29766s/01 that is not getting cold enough

I have an LFXS29766s/01 that is not getting cold enough. I have performed the above mentioned test of the PCB board by removing the Con201 connector and checking for voltage after pushing the test button. I am getting 70vac to begin with but it continues to rise during the 30 second window. It actually rises to 170vac and at the 30 second mark the voltage drops to nothing followed by the green led blinking 3 times over and over. Would this also be a bad PCB board LadyTech?

Lloyd-if it never reached 200v then you need a new board. I’ve never heard of 3 blinks from the led on the board. In fact, I just pulled all my reference books and there isn’t anything about 3 blinks. Are you sure it isn’t 6 blinks?

Did you unplug the refrigerator for a few seconds then plug in and do the test?

The 3 blinks have got me. I don’t have an answer for the 3 blinks. The compressor isn’t getting the proper voltage to operate so that tells us you have a failed PCB. I’ll keep researching the 3 blinks. It could be the bad board causing a strange blink in 3s but I’m not positive. I’ll post what I find.

Lloyd, if it was a snake I’d be bitten. 3 blinks = check the compressor.

Could you do the same test on con201 except check voltage on the far right pin and the pin to the left of it? Uplug refrigerator, plug back in and with con201 already disconnected, press test button 1x then check the 2 right pins on the board for 200v within 30 sec. let me know what you find, please.

Lady Tech I guess I’m not understanding what it is you’re asking me to check. I checked con201 for voltage. There were only two pins on that connector. Power and common. Is there another place on the board you’re referring to?

Lloyd- Con201 should have 4 pins on the board and CAPACITOR. COM. POWER above or below the pins on board. The board is behind the access panel above the compressor. There should be a part number on the board that begins with EBR. what’s the # of your board?
