My whirlpool ice maker stops collecting the ice in the middle of the h

So my whirlpool ice maker does everything it's supposed to do except collect the ice. First it calls the water and fills the mold. It waits for it to freeze then activates the heating element. Then the motor kicks is and begins to harvest the ice. But before it fully harvests it, it shuts off. The ice sticks up at a 90 degree angle and it stops making ice. I don't know what is the problem. I don't have to manually start the harvest cycle. It starts by itself but stops too before the ice drops in the pan. Any ideas to fix it? See picture
