I recently bought this Chromebook and it has enterprise enrollment?

I bought this Chromebook offerup but is still enrolled in an enterprise. I rather see what I can do to try and fix it. I got it for $40 and with or without enterprise enrollment the deal is to good to pass up.

you can contact enterprise and have it unenrolled. or you can do the more difficult way where you take off the back to uneroll through the software itself

If it has a ssd or sd as its storage probably you can remove enterprise and almost everything is saved on that ssd.But since everything is saved on that drive you will need a usb stick with a os.If you do not like the os that came with it you can use mac or linux or chrome os.But before you need to download the iso and change iso to bin and burn it.Then remove the ssd and add a new ssd. Then plug in your usb drive. It will automatically boot up.

It's cheap for a reason: you cannot fix the enterprise tie without contacting the administrator who applied it.

Do not buy this unless you want it for parts, have time to talk with them or another board.

This cannot be fixed, since the administrator of the device probably a School has tied the device´s serial number to their network chances are it´s also stolen but anyway. The only 2 solutions to this are Attempting to change the device´s serial number which is pretty much impossible without a certain set of skills and if you don´t have any of these skills you will probably break the device. The other solution is to contact the company or district that owns the device to untie the device.

A lot of schools just forget since they get free money by blocking XXX sites. They replace them and forget to remove the tie most of the time.

But that also means it's 3-4 years old most of the time. Anything newer is suspect.

I've literally done it in 7th Grade. I've bought a CH341a from AliExpress and disassembled the CR-50 Chromebook and then dumped the firmware out of the 25xx EEPROM using an alligator clamp. Then opened in a hex editor and by following guide, changed the serial number to an arbitrary one. Then flashed the new firmware back on and recovered the Chromebook using a flash drive. That's it, my school administration couldn't care less as they probably re-locked it right after I've returned the Chromebook back to them. They were probably dumbfounded to encounter an unlocked Chromebook and a serial number discrepancy but whatever. I should've probably installed mrchromebox's firmware and then Windows to astound the school administration even further but I've decided to not do that as the Chromebook only had 32GB of storage on it.

So yeah, while it takes a skill set, anyone with a pair of hand and a head on shoulders would be able to do that. If I've done it in Grade 7, then anyone can do it.

I looked into this general question about a month ago and came up with some information that seems a bit more hopeful than the previous responses here. Here's the post.

SOLVED: How do I delete. " this setting is managed by your administrator"? - Acer Chromebook cb3-532-c47c - iFixit

Part of that question had to do with connecting an Android phone to a Chromebook which isn't relevant here, so I've copied the part that's of interest to you.

If you're being restricted by an Administrative policy, you'll need to remove the Chromebook from the managed network. Outside of contacting the network administrator, the only other way to do it is to wipe it completely, assuming the “forced re-enrollment” setting is not enabled (which it is by default). It's also possible that Developer Mode that's used to wipe the computer is blocked by your administrator. See "How to Reset a Managed Chromebook (School, Work, or Enterprise) - Complete Tutorial (2022)" for the complete set of instructions.
