Home works when phone is open but...

I removed everything from one frame to another (back glass was broken) with a screen replacement, when testing the home button while phone is open the home button works fine, but when I closed the phone and test again it won’t work. Both original and aftermarket… what can I do about it?

Try to check the bend under the screen, I’ve seen quite a few with such issue. Probably you’ll have to remove the metal shield too to be able to do a thorough check.
