keyboard/keypad not working sometimes?

retina, 12", early 2016, version 10.13.2

Noticed that sometimes my laptop keyboard will be unresponsive, and the touchpad won’t click either. When I massage the keyboard firmly it usually starts working again. I don’t believe it is water damage because I haven’t had any liquid near it. I tried a PRAM reset and it doesn’t seem to help the issue. I also tried to run Apple Diagnostics but it says that no problems are found (nothing about the defective keyboard/keypad)

Any ideas?
