Push the paper/tray around a bit. It works for me. I don’t know much about printers.

Could also be a faulty/misaligned sensor, cold/cracked solder joint, loose connection, debris (ie bits of paper). Need to get inside the unit for visual inspection to start eliminating possible causes of your problem.
