2013 VW GTI outer brak lights keep going out when in high temperature

So in temperatures that reach above 80 degrees my brake lights brake. Given that I live in Florida this is going to be a more than regular basis. I've replaced bulbs before that worked about 30 percent of the time. I've had this issue with both tail lights and it seems random as to which one decides to go out. Has anyone else had the issue/know what causes it/how to fix it?
