My Wii U turns on but doesn't display

I have a wii U console that when I plug it in the it lights up and seems to be working. When I try to have it display on the tv so that I can connect my Game pad it doesn’t work. It has no other problems. What is wrong with it and how do I fix it? Did it overheat? Do I need to do BGA repair on the video connections?
