My 7 plus dead

Hi,my 7 plus suddenly dead when i charge it while im sleep. Screen doesnt do anything and the taptic engine doesnt even work.

When i wake up in the morning, i try to turn it on and connect it to the lightning cable but it wont turn on(dead) and it get hot on the back.

I already try to hard restart and it doesnt do anything.

Assuming after the battery dies, i try to connect it again to lightning cable & computer and it doesnt do anything too.

Then i went to service, and they said that my hard drive is broken.

Is this true?

I really need the all of the files.

Please help.

Service as in apple or mobile repair shop?

It’s usually either one of the following:

  • Charging Chip (Not likely as it’s heating up in the back instead)
  • Bad PMIC (Phone heats up at back)
  • Liquid damage (Always a possibility)

Try another repair shop if you did try one before. Always better to get the phone inspected at more than one shop.

If i do the PMIC replacement

1.does the files on the phone deleted?

2.does the imei & serial number change?

I think my phone is overheating during charging, phone calling while sleeping, and running a game.

No to both those questions, but I do recommend trying other stores as said before.

hi mr ben, my iphone can turn on now, data is safe.

but now i feel like this is not.my LCD.

and then service man said that my dual camera broken too.

i feel stupid now.

any suggest?

What did the repair shop do to get your phone working? The camera should still be working. Did you ask them to fix it or just ensure you could get your data back?
