I was replacing a broken screen on my iPhone 6 Plus and I ripped the connector out from the flex cable that is built into the metal plate that come accross the screen. My question is if I replace the metal plate with built in flex cable, will my Touch ID work? The home button seems fine.

As long as you didn’t damage the HB, then it will be fine with a replacement heat shield/Link flex.

Yes, as long as your home button isn't damaged - you can just replace the back plate with a new home button flex
