Backlight not working, MacBook is functional

my backlight stopped working, is this an display issue or logic board failure?

1 moth outside warranty, Apple won’t do anything
Go to a store manager and request "Warranty Exception". Meanwhile hook it up to an external monitor to help isolate the problem.
On day of release, just went in they won’t do anything besides a repair which costs me about 400-700 euro’s anyone know where the backlight fuse is on the logic board?
If all else fails, call Apple directly and ask for a "Flat Rate Repair". In Texas this costs $357, tax and shipping included and it takes four days including the day you called. They will have a shipping box on your doorstep early the next morning.
